Cheddar & Caramelised Onion Pastries

Made using Wyke Farms Mature Cheddar

What to do:

Preheat the oven to 220°C or gas mark 7. Lightly flour your surface and roll out the puff pastry. Take a circular cutter and cut small circles out of the pastry. Lift each individual circle onto a lightly greased baking tray. Sprinkle the centre of each individual pastry with the Wyke Farms cheddar then top with The Bay Tree's sticky caramelised onions; make sure to leave a 1inch gap to the edge of the pastry. At this point you can add any extra toppings that you’d like such as sun-dried tomatoes, mushrooms or spinach. Season each pastry with a little black pepper. Place your pastries in the oven for 20-25 minutes or until the pastry is golden brown. Leave to cool before popping in your picnic basket!
